The International Conference on Research Infrastructures (ICRI 2021) held virtually in Ottawa, Canada, on June 1-3, 2021, with over 600 delegates. It was the fifth edition of the Conference for the first time hosted by a country in North America.
The Conference was a great occasion to build on the discussions and conclusions of the first four conferences. It was also an opportunity to advance debates about research infrastructure policies that have been ongoing in various international fora.
The conference featured more than 100 speakers, 70 exhibits, seven plenaries and 16 parallel theme sessions — all focused on the conference theme, “The role of research infrastructures in building bridges to a sustainable world.”
The EPTRI Paediatric Manifesto was included in the event section Health e Biosciences. The EPTRI Paediatric Manifesto aims at promoting the development of paediatric and orphan medicines and the inclusion of the themes of paediatric research in the EU Agenda. So far it was supported by more than 35 Institutions among which (Ministries, Academia, Hospitals, Paediatric Research Networks, Patient Organisations, etc).
Additional information on the Conference is available here. Parallel session presentations and case studies are also available at the ICRI 2021 YouTube channel.
