EPTRI’s abstract presented at the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences conference (APS@FIP), held in Glasgow on 7th September 2018, has been published on the British Journal of Pharmacy.
The abstract entitled “EPTRI – European Paediatric Translational Research Infrastructure. Bridging the gaps of the paediatric excellence medicine”, was included under the “The Science of Differentiated Medicines” topic of the meeting.
EPTRI highlighted the need to develop age appropriate medicines for children and the importance to design a new paediatric Research Infrastructure, aimed to bridge the existing gaps in the paediatric medicines, from the early stage drug development phases to be translated into paediatric use of medicines.
The abstract provides an overview on the project and describes the preliminary results of the survey, disseminated within April and June 2018, that has been carried out in the first phase of the Context Analysis, intended to identify the availability of services and facilities to build the research infrastructure.
