The European Research Infrastructure Infrafrontier, which aims to build a biomedical research frame of excellence in the area of genetic human diseases, organizes several interesting training courses this year. These courses are performed by two Infrafrontier partners, Helmholtz Zentrum in Munich (operating the German Mouse Clinic, GMC) and the CERBM-GIE in Alsace (operating the ICS Mouse Clinical Institute), and are open to all researchers interested in mouse phenotyping.
The course, entitled “Mouse vs human – comparative morphology“, is divided in two modules. The main objective is to improve knowledge on mouse anatomy, histology and imaging and to provide participants with the essential concepts to understand similarities and differences with humans. Both modules are conducted independently, so it is possible to attend only one of them.
The Anatomy and Imaging Module will take place in Barcelona (18-23th June) and the deadline for application is 31st May. If you wish to participate please write an e-mail to [email protected].
The Histology Module will be taught in Prague (3-6th September). The deadline for application for this module is 31st July 2018 and these should be sent to [email protected]. For more information on this module, click here.
On the other hand, the MRC-Harwell Institute in Oxfordshire will host the course “Mouse Embryo and Spermatozoa Cryopreservation” on 3-6th September. The programme will cover mouse sperm harvesting, freezing and embryo vitrification techniques among others. In this case there are only 6 places on the course, so if you are interested please write an e-mail to [email protected] and click here for further details. Do not miss this great opportunity to learn from highly qualified professionals!
